Apartment Maintenance Technician of the Year
Michael McCauley, First Realty Management
Mike, a Senior Technician with 41 years of service, is one of First Realty’s most senior employees. He is always the first to volunteer for a task. When COVID-19 struck, he took it upon himself to find a bacterial disinfectant and double and even triple the frequency of high touch areas. He delivered essentials to our elderly residents when they couldn’t get out of their apartments. Mike’s efforts are appreciated; out of the 500 work order requests since April 2020, Mike has completed about 370 on his own. He is an incredibly hard and talented worker. His good attitude, dependability, honesty, and work ethics contribute substantially to Burbank’s success and the high quality of life their residents enjoy.

Apartment Maintenance Supervisor of the Year
Vincent Caprino, Greystar
Vince, Service Supervisor at Boston East, has been an integral part of site operations since he first joined in 2019. With as many as 54 vacant or on notice units, Vince has brought 5% of turns in-house, averaged 2-3% positive variance in repairs and maintenance monthly spend, and negotiated new vendor contracts averaging a 7% savings. Vince and his maintenance team have continued to make a positive impact in the community. He continuously exceeded expectations with his professionalism, positive attitude, mentorship, and ability to implement maintenance cost controls.

Jane Pellino, Jefferson Apartment Group (at time of being honored)
Jane, who was recently promoted to Assistant Community Manager at J Malden Center, has single handedly delivered more leases than every other leasing associate at the property combined over the last two years. She makes her residents feel like the most important people on this property and has quickly solved issues with complete professionalism. She continues to go above and beyond by earning the Certified Apartment Leasing Professional designation through NAA.
Jane, who was recently promoted to Assistant Community Manager at J Malden Center, has single handedly delivered more leases than every other leasing associate at the property combined over the last two years. She makes her residents feel like the most important people on this property and has quickly solved issues with complete professionalism. She continues to go above and beyond by earning the Certified Apartment Leasing Professional designation through NAA.
Rising Star of the Year
Jaimi Rich, National Development
Jaimi stood out as having an excellent mind for multifamily marketing – highly creative and curious about measuring success and keeping potential and current residents engaged. Whether creating content for her own property’s social media or helping out her colleagues, Jaimi has a thorough understanding of branding. For this reason, Jaimi was selected to assist in the execution of all social media training across National Development’s residential portfolio. She has created an Instagram reel that reached over 6,500 people with a near 100% view rate. In addition to marketing, as a Leasing Manager, Jaimi had one-year closing ratio of 31% and conversion ratio of 38%, from almost 400 tours.

Jonathan Matthews, Jefferson Apartment Group (at time of being honored)
Jonathan has led a team of 8 on a new lease-up during a global pandemic, and together they have consistently outperformed practically every category of metrics in property management. The property stabilized three months ahead of schedule. In addition to his core responsibilities as Community Manager, Jonathan generously volunteers his personal time and resources to the local community such as serving in a leadership role for the Chinese Culture Connection, Malden Chamber of Commerce, Boston Chamber of Commerce, and many more. He is so popular with his residents that they have often refer to him as the "Mayor of J Malden Center". Jonathan takes it upon himself to always provide exceptional support and service.

From a humble start in property management in 2007 as a temporary hire as a Leasing Agent, Will has built an impressive career at First Realty Management. He currently serves as the Regional Manager and supervises two new luxury market rate properties which were recently added to his portfolio. Will guides staff to meet budget and occupancy goals, anticipates challenges and find solutions when unexpected contingencies appear, is available and responsive in emergencies, and offers mentoring and positive support continuously to colleagues. With dozens of workers on site each day, Will’s leadership, mentoring, and guidance has helped the leasing team lock in numerous leases in advance of the official opening.
