Portfolio Manager or Supervisor of the Year
This award recognizes an apartment portfolio manager or supervisor that has demonstrated outstanding efforts and contributions to their communities.

Rules
- Nominees must focus their work primarily on management of 3 or more buildings or campuses and the staff working on them. “Portfolio Manager or Supervisor” title is not required; related titles are acceptable.
- Professional Achievement Awards nominees must have a minimum of one year of multi-family housing experience.
- Nominated individuals must work in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- The individual must work for a MAA member company that is in good standing for at least one year prior to the nomination.
- Previous Professional Achievement Award winners are not eligible for entry in same category.
- Nominees may only be submitted in one category.
- Please note, three finalists will be chosen, and the winner will be announced during the award ceremony.
Nomination Field Requirements
- Provide a summary of nominee’s job performance and professional accomplishments. Specific examples and statistics should be included. For example, resident renewals increased by 5% in the past year over this person's whole portfolio.
- Provide evidence of nominee’s ability to achieve financial goals, success in team building, leadership, and success in employee recruiting and retention.
- Statements may include examples of how the nominee has done any of the following: taken the initiative in the work place, practiced innovation and problem-solving, acted as a mentor, made a significant contribution to the property, contributed to the community through volunteering and/or charitable giving, participation in any boards or committees, and participated in continuing education related to the profession.
- To be considered for the National Apartment Association Excellence Awards, you must be a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS).
